A Very DIY Christmas!

Our family has eaten turkey, watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, laughed together, sipped Starbucks cups, put up our tree, and all the decorations.

Ya’ll! It’s officially Christmastime!

I love looking through DIY projects. Do you? I love creating gifts for loved ones. Plus, it helps to have cute, inexpensive ideas ready for all the teacher gifts, hostess gifts, and neighbors to wish a Merry Christmas

I’ve put together a list with a few DIY gift ideas I’ve found and can’t wait to make. Do you love to DIY? Make sure to comment below with your favorite holiday craft!

DIY Christmas Ideas

Tis the season for cold wind and dry lips! This recipe for 5 Minute Lip Balm from The Seasoned Mom looks like a win!

Homemade Men’s Shaving Cream from Coupons and Freebies Mom looks like a great weekend project for youngish kids looking for a great gift for Dad.

Our family loves to deliver goodies to our neighbors and wish them a Merry Christmas. This year I think we will deliver adorable jars of homemade cocoa. This recipe from Seeking Shade is a perfect place to start!

Ok, ok this isn’t DIY but it looks so delicious that I am including it here and I’m totally going to make it this weekend when our first out of town guests come to stay. This is Winter Red Velvet Fudge from The Cafe Sucre Farine.

These look like treats my kids will love to make but also beg to keep. I can’t wait to make them with my kids and try one myself so I’m including these Giant Marshmallows from Modern Parent Messy Kids for you to try, too. 🙂

I love the warm, coziness of a great blanket scarf. I am perpetually cold and our 100 year old house gets plenty drafty all winter so you can often find me homeschooling my kids with a beanie and a scarf. Plus, this No Sew Blanket Scarf looks like a great gift for sending in the mail to my sister.

I’m so in awe of arm knitting. I don’t know if it’s simple or if the blanket will endure but I’m excited to try. Plus, this seems like a great project to try with my 11 year old daughter and get some extra time with her.

And for the dog lover in your life? How about this easy recipe for homemade dog treats?

Well, I’m off to begin my long list of DIY crafts and homemade goodies to give neighbors and friends. Do you have a DIY gift or recipe you use each year that you love? Please share in the comments below!
