Creating The HOPE Album: The Next Generation Of Seeds Family Worship

Ben Houser

Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”

After enduring the COVID pandemic throughout 2020, the Seeds team met for our yearly prayer/vision meeting in January of 2021. During the meeting we sought God and began making our creative and strategic decisions for the year. At the time we didn’t know how long COVID would last, how our economy would be impacted, or when the constant confusion in our country would subside. We found ourselves encouraging each other to trust in God in the midst of the uncertain times. We believe God showed us as we prayed together that we needed to create our new album around the theme of HOPE.

We began creating new songs around the Hope theme and shared our vision with our Seeds families around the world. We had an overwhelming response as we raised money to bring this album to life. We were all so encouraged! We began recording in our studio in Idaho called The Dream Room. Then we traveled to Nashville, Dallas, and Lakeside in Montana to record vocals with worship leaders in each city. Finally, we finished the album with our new mix engineer in Nashville David Terry at Sodium Glow Studio.

The new HOPE album introduces some incredible new worship leaders and creators to our Seeds team. Psalm 139, “Wonderful” and Genesis 1:27 “God created Man” are both led by Amethyst Patrick, one of our “next-generation” worship leaders. 1 Peter 3:15, “Hope That Is In You”, features new worship leader Kimber Terry. In addition, Ben Houser, son of Seeds founder Jason Houser, co-wrote and produced this album with his Dad and Greg Fadness. It is so cool that Seeds has been raising up the next generation of kids in God’s Word for over 17 years…and now some of those kids who were listening to Seeds over a decade ago are a significant part of reaching people with God’s Word! Isn’t God’s faithfulness amazing?

The album then closes with a Hope anthem called “Abound In Hope”, from Romans 15:13… and that is our prayer for every family that hears this album… that by the power of the Holy Spirit – they may abound in hope. We’ve invested so much time and passion into every song on this album. The Seeds team is so excited for all of you to declare God’s hope in His Word over your lives and your children’s lives.

We are praying that the Hope album goes out into more hearts and homes than any album in Seeds history. Our desire is to sing God’s hope into your home so you can find His light at the end of the tunnel during the challenging seasons of life. We also believe these songs will give you the courage to step into the things God has called you to and fill you with joy and peace in believing in Him, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may “Abound In Hope.”
