We just finished writing our brand new Seeds of Faith Family Worship Guide! This free gift from Kylie is the Faith family worship guide. It was truly so fun to write because all of us participated together! One of the most special parts of the new guide is that Kylie wrote the devotion for ‘Mustard Seed’. Not to be bias, but it’s an awesome devotion.
I think most of you know Kylie, but if you don’t… Kylie is our ‘Worship Girl’ that leads our hand motions on all the videos. Kylie’s parents are both Seeds Family Worship full-time missionaries and everyone in the family is part of the Seeds ministry. Kylie’s role in the ministry has been to write all the hand motions with a team of young people and our ministry founder, Jason Houser. She also travels on events and helps in the fullfillment center when needed.
The new Seeds of Faith Worship Guide releases late this month, but we wanted to share this devotion with you now. This is an awesome opportunity for you to lead a Family Worship Time with your family. Another name for Family Worship is Family Devotions. This is the practice of intentionally setting aside time to teach, train and disciple your family. This devotion was created to make family worship around 10-15 minutes, but do whatever works for your family. We have created these devotions so that every family can easily have worship time together around God’s Word.
Each Family Worship devotions are set up like this:
- Pray 2. Sing 3. Read 4. Talk 5. Pray
Here is everything you need to create an awesome family worship time: For ‘Sing’ Section: Download Video. For ‘Read & Talk’ Section: Download & Print Family Devotion Mustard Seed!
Once you have downloaded the video, song and devotion let your family know what day and time you are going to meet. Then just follow the instructions on the devotion and you are set up to have awesome family time around God’s Word.
This is just a sweet note to tell you all how much our family (particularly my three girls) love your ministry. My oldest, Abigail (4 years old), refers to Kylie as Miss Musghetti (like spaghetti). I have no idea why, but it’s cute, and she gets so excited when Kylie comes on the screen. She loves to pull her hair in the front just like her and smile just like her during worship. It’s super sweet. Thank you for your ministry, and thank you Kylie for being a light of Jesus to my children.
Amy, this not blesses me so BIG this morning! Thank you so much for the encouragement! I am sending it off to Kylie this morning too! Thanks so much for using Seeds!
WoW! Love it. Do you have more of these for our kids.
Yes we do. You can find all of our Family Worship Guides here: https://www.seedsfamilyworship.com/store/family-worship-guides/ . The Faith guide will be coming out early next month too. Thanks for checking them out!
Hi SEEDS family worship! We have been loving your resources for years. These new family worship guides are wonderful. We started with the Christmas one first, which is one of our favorite albums. We can’t imagine the Christmas season without it. One of my daughters even learned to play “Mary’s Song of Praise” on the piano for her Christmas recital.
Kylie, we appreciate the ministry you do with the hand motions. Our whole family joins in and your joy is contagious. (By the way, we refer to you as “Smiley Girl” and your joyfulness rubs off on the rest of us.) As we have been going through the Seeds of Courage Family worship guide for our homeschool morning devotion, we are always a bit bummed when a song does not have hand motions. So, we make up our own:) If you ever need some junior assistants, 2 of my daughters have made motions for “Call to Me.” Maybe we can make a video to share with you.
Keep up the great work, Seeds team. We appreciate you!
WOW! This blesses us so BIG this morning! Thank you so much for these encouraging words. Can’t wait to send these to Kylie. I know it will encourager her so much. Heather, we would love to see those hand motions. We would love to even get your girls involved in helping us create new ones. Thanks again for these words! God is amazing and we are thankful for what we get to do!
My wife and I are missionaries in Asia, and we LOVE Seeds Family Worship. Our daughter (3) and son (1) love watching Kylie do the hand motions. Nearly 20 years ago, I did a DTS at the Lakeside YWAM base, and I was pleasantly surprised to see Kylie did one there as well! That’s where I first realized I wanted to become a cross-cultural missionary.
