Hope In Heavy Times: A New Song About Unity From God’s Word

Seeds Families & Churches,

Six months ago I was inspired to begin working on a new song based on Ephesians 4:4-6. I couldn’t have known it at the time, but I believe the message this verse carries is for America and the world who desperately needs it today. We had not planned to release this song till the fall on our POWER album, but in light of what is going on in our country, we wanted to put it out now to help encourage and strengthen your church and family with God's Word.

This song from Ephesians 4:4-6 is called ONE and says, "There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all."

Our Seeds team purposefully included people of diverse backgrounds and ages for the vocals of this song. We were connected with an incredible African-American community choir Cedric Sesley & Out Of Souls in Nashville, TN. We also invited worship team leaders from churches in Idaho, and our Seeds Youth Worship Team. I believe you will both hear and feel the power of these combined voices and how it communicates the heart of this scripture.

When Jesus prayed for his disciples before going to the cross, He specifically prayed for unity. We pray this Scripture and song will encourage the Church to be an example of the unity America needs right now.. The world needs Jesus, let’s be a loving example of who He is by loving one another.

In Christ,
Jason Houser.
