We are glad you joined us for the February 2018 edition of the Seeds Family Box! This month’s resources and activities are centered on an exciting new book called The Attributes Of God For Kids. This book was written to help kids know God. The author Lydia White shared the heart behind it:
“Our kids don’t just need to know about God, they need to meet Him. That starts with teaching our children the at- tributes of God. When they meet God, they’ll know who it is they’re trusting, they’ll know what is right and wrong, and they’ll know who God has made them to be.”
How incredible is that! Your friends here at Seeds Family Worship couldn’t agree more. We want to see the next generation meet God and walk in relationship with Him. So, let’s get started and look at how your family can make the most of this month’s resources!
THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD FOR KIDS” BOOK
We all want our kids to love God and that starts with sim- ply getting to know Him. The Attributes of God for Kids is a daily devotional for your family to read together.
The book is divided into 10 unique attributes (unchang- ing, omnipresent, sovereign, etc.) and 11 moral attributes (righteous, just, loving, etc.). Each chapter focuses on a single attribute with age appropriate readings, fun ques- tions, memory tools, and praise songs from Seeds Family Worship to help your kids understand and re- member each attribute.
This book is based on A.W. Tozer’s classic Christian book, The Knowledge of the Holy, and will help you lay a solid theological foundation about who God is for your children.
WILD BROTHERS DVD VOL. 1

This Wild Brothers DVD introduces you to these four modern-day missionary kids as they adventure far into God’s creation and discover the rich wildlife of the jungle of a remote Paci c island. It’s an opportunity to give your kids a truly Christian worldviewas they experience creation like never before!
Make some popcorn and gather around your TV so that your family can join the Wild family on their adventures! Take some time afterwards to discuss the video and pray for The Wild Family and any other missionaries that you may know.
THE CHARACTER OF GOD CD
The Character Of God CD contains Word-for-Word Scrip- ture songs about the awesomeness of God. This CD be- gins at the beginning…in the book of Genesis, where we learn that God is the creator who made the heavens and the earth. We also hear about Isaiah’s vision of God on His throne from the book of Isaiah where angels were prais- ing God singing “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts”.
The songs continue to celebrate His attributes: He is Love, He Is Light, He is Wise, Faithful and Unchanging. We can see Him in His amazing creation and in the lives of His people. He is worthy of our praise and families are meant to worship Him together!
We encourage you to use these songs to help focus the hearts of your family on the
greatness of God. If you already have this CD, we hope you will pray as a family about whom the Lord may have you give it to. Ask the Lord to show you the friend, family member or neighbor that you can help learn about our awesome God.
THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD STICKER CHART
It is encouraging and fun for us to chart our progress as we learn new things! We like the way this sticker chart helps track the journey of learning the attributes of God and memorizing the Word.
We have provided everything you need here in your Seeds Family Box to make this process easy and enjoy- able. As you read about each attribute, or memorize the verse associated with each attribute, have your child place a sticker on either the matching or blank circle to track his or her progress!
THE 21 ATTRIBUTES OF GOD MEMORY VERSE CARDS
We love these tools that were created for The Attributes Of God book! We included these 21 memory cards for you to use as a family.
We encourage you to use the cards to help each other store God’s Word in your hearts. They can be shared at meal times, as part of family worship in your home, or on the road as you roll through the day’s activities.
THE 21 DAYS OF PRAYING THE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD CALENDAR
The 21 Days of Praying the Attributes Of God calendar is a tool to help you pray and worship God for who He is. This prayer calendar will give you the opportunity to focus your prayers on God and praise Him together as a family.
Most of us struggle to center our prayers on the Lord rather than ourselves and our current needs, and we have found one of the best ways to work through that is to pray God’s Word. We hope this calendar will be a helpful bless- ing to you.
