The March 2018 Seeds Family Box was created to help your family prepare to celebrate Easter and give you as parents an opportunity to connect your children’s hearts to the Good News of Jesus’ resurrection. We have included our Seeds Family Worship CD and DVD for your family to experience together this month as well as other Easter activities for you to share during Holy Week. We encourage you to engage in whichever activities you believe will connect best with your family, but don’t feel like you need to complete all of them.

We have also included a book called Indescribable that contains devotions for kids that highlight the wonder God’s creation, and will be introducing you to Doorpost Songs and their newest CD More Than Conquerors. As we move into spring, we hope your family will enter into a new season of growing in your faith together and deepening your relationships with each other.

SEEDS OF EASTER CD/DVD

Seeds Of Easter is a compilation of Seeds Family Worship songs and videos created to help your family celebrate the big picture of the Easter story. The musical journey begins with a powerful new song called ‘Worthy Is The Lamb’ (Rev. 5:12) and then accelerates into an energetic song that echoes Jesus’ words from John 14:6, “I am The Way, and The Truth, and The Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.”

“Hey Man” and “Convinced” pull together key scriptures from the book of Romans, and highlight our need for a Savior. They also ensure us that nothing can separate us from God’s love in Christ. The CD nishes with the soulful celebration that anyone in Christ is a “New Creation.” We encourage you to play these songs and use the verses to create conversations with your children about their understanding of The Gospel.

INDESCRIBABLE BOOK

Our team has enjoyed discovering excellent new resourc- es for our Seeds families. We love to worship God and believe the more we learn about Him the greater the op- portunity we have to go deeper in worshiping Him. The author of Indescribable is Pastor/Songwriter Louie Giglio. He has a special gift to communicate the greatness of God’s creation.

It’s impossible to out-imagine God. He orchestrates time, creates light, and speaks things into existence—from the largest stars to the smallest
star sh. God is a powerful, pur-poseful, personal, unparalleled Creator.

Indescribable displays the maj- esty of creation with scientif- ic ndings, photography, and original illustrations. In addi- tion, each devotion features a “Be Amazed” section with fascinating facts, hands-on ac- tivities, and a closing prayer.

DOORPOST SONGS CD MORE THAN CONQUERORS

We want to introduce you to Doorpost Songs. The title cut of their newest album contains the scripture from Romans 8 celebrating that we are “More Than Conquerors” through Christ. The album contains 10 brand new Bible songs that kids and parents will both love!

Here’s what they wanted to share with you about their ministry: “Each Doorpost Song is based entirely on a passage of scripture, and we present as much of the passage word for word as we can. From the very beginning, we’ve wanted to create something more than just music. Our passion is to help parents create moments of worship and discipleship at home. This is a big challenge for all families – including our own – but the size of the challenge only reminds us how signi cant the impact could be if our families worshiped together.”

RESURRECTION COOKIES

This is a fun family activity that we did when our children where younger. It is a great illustration that helped them connect with the events leading up to the cross and the empty tomb. Plan to do this the night before Easter so that they can enjoy the cookies and celebrate the empty tomb on Resurrection morning. We’ve included an ac- tivity card that guides you through each step.

On Saturday night, read the recipe and prepare things ahead of time before bringing your children in to help. Have your Bible present and read through the scriptures provided as you make the Resurrection Cookies.

RESURRECTION GARDEN

The Resurrection Garden has been a family favorite! We’ve included an activity card that explains how to cre- ate your own Resurrection Garden. We also encourage you to check out our blog post for a more detailed guide through the process.

Palm Sunday: Gather the materials for your garden and talk about how God is the amazing Creator of all things. When you cover the garden with soil, talk about how sin and death entered the world through Adam’s sin. Instruct you kids to scatter the seeds on the soil just like palm branches were laid down for Christ on Palm Sunday. Then, water the seeds with a spay bottle.

Holy Week: Water the seeds each day and remind your family that Jesus loves us so much that He died on the cross to save us from our sin. (John 3:16)

Good Friday: Talk of Christ’s cruci xion and place the crosses on the hill. Then place the stone in front of the tomb. Give thanks for God’s love and Jesus’ sacri ce.

Easter Sunday: Roll aside the stone. Discuss how Christ was not there. He is risen! New life has been given to all who accept Christ’s gift of salvation.
