Introduction: Isaiah 41:10
It’s been reported on a few different media outlets that the most searched Bible verse of 2020 was Isaiah 41:10, which says,
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” No one who experienced 2020 firsthand will be surprised that a verse about fear was the most searched. It was a year full of once in a lifetime events, to name just a few:

Covid-19 Pandemic
But without a doubt, probably the biggest issue, the thing that set everybody back in 2020, was the devastating shortage of toilet paper. Well, maybe not that, but more importantly the Corona pandemic, the shutdowns, school closings, the isolation, and challenges that went along with it.
All that to say, plenty of people had reason to struggle with fear in 2020. The encouraging part of this is that it seems many were turning to the Bible for hope in the midst of fear. Instead of staying stuck in their fear, they wanted to know what the Bible said about moving past fear.
The Comforting Truth of God
Isaiah 41:10 was one of the verses we featured in our twenty verse Fun-Easy-Family Devotions program in 2020. It was the most visited part of our website and the thing we received some of the most feedback on. Families stuck at home were so grateful to have a resource for memorizing Scripture together.
To launch into 2021 “fear-free,” check out these four devotions on Isaiah 41:10. Commit to reading and discussing the questions over dinner four nights in a row. Pray for God to use that time together to equip your family to turn to God to deal with any fear you might be facing.
