Trust Jesus Tour Wrap Up

Trust Jesus Tour Testimony

Introduction

Oh man…what a summer this has been for the Seeds Family Worship team! We were so encouraged and well loved by God’s Church as we traveled across America leading worship and shared our stories of how we came to trust in Jesus. It is truly amazing to reflect on all that God did this summer. I wish every believer had the opportunity to travel to different parts of the country and stay in host homes with other brothers and sisters in Christ. We got to share this journey with such amazing people who demonstrated the love of God. We served alongside incredible people that are showing the love of Christ to their communities every day of the year. I can’t tell you enough how thankful we are to have been God’s instruments on this tour.

How It Started

Well…let me share with you how this tour came to be. At the beginning of this year, the Seeds team came together for our annual prayer retreat to seek the Lord and discuss what he had for us in 2019. At the retreat,  the idea of the Trust Jesus Tour was born. We returned from the retreat with this dream, but we had to work through some details and continued to pray. My son Ben and I began researching how a tour could be pulled off with our small team. A couple of months later we decided to go for it, so we did what any modern young person does when setting out on a new adventure,  we typed “How to Book a Tour” into our Google search engine.  I clicked on the first link and read Step 1 aloud to my son, “Make sure you begin booking your tour at least 6 months in advance of your first event. After a brief moment of silence my son said, “Well, I guess we can just skip the first step.”

We laugh about that now because it was one of the moments that confirmed our “God-sized” dream that seemed impossible became greater than we hoped it would be. Throughout the next several months, our Seeds team worked so hard to bring the tour to life and the Lord was with us every step. The Lord provided for our ministry partner, Answers In Genesis, to come alongside us and sponsor the tour. They provided incredible support and resources to give away to every family that attended our events. We were blown away! Yes, this was more than we could “ask or imagine” (Eph. 3:20).

The Tour

Our first worship event was June 23rd at Lighthouse, the home church of Seeds in Twin Falls, Idaho. We experienced God’s joy and favor as the music echoed through the worship center and the videos proclaimed the Word of God in bright and bold scenes projected on a theatre sized screen over the stage. The Gospel was shared by the young adults in our team and a man committed his life to Christ that night and said, “I want what those young people have”. What a gift and an encouragement that God was with us!

We were prayed for by our sending church and headed to Park City and then on to Colorado, New, Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Minnesota, South Dakota, and finally Montana, where half of our Seeds Team is located. We lead 19 events and traveled over 6,300 miles.

Thank you to everyone who prayed for us while were on this tour. One of the major things our team talked about while we were on the road was we could feel people’s prayers around us as we did our events. The Lord gave us energy when we were tired and sustained us through the long drive days. There weren’t any major technical difficulties, problems with the van, or tension between the Seeds team. God’s hand was protecting and giving us energy throughout the entirety of the tour. So thank you so much for prayers, God definitely answered them!

Another Seeds Tour?

A lot of people are wondering, “Will there be another Seeds Tour? What is next for Seeds?”. To answer that question, we are in the same place as when the tour began... seeking the Lord. We trust God to lead us in the direction He wants us go. So please be praying for the Seeds team and for this ministry because God has amazing things planned for the future!
